Emperial Nation interview series....MANNY BLOCKER, THE TASTEMAKERS SOCIETY
Today's guest for EN's interview series is the founder of the trends and lifestyle website The Tastemakers Society, Maryland's own Manny Blocker. Manny is a brilliant writer who has a great eye for what's coming up, what's the next big thing, comedy, new talent, art, etc. He basically started his own concept magazine... here's what he says about the magazine :
"This online magazine is an attempt in covering the world as I believe it should be seen. I am all to tired of magazines that deal with celebrities and socialites alike to whom are interesting in their own right but in my eyes aren’t the ones that need the limelight 24/7. The world is orchestrated by many and run by fewer; the creative people that make up our society and actually keep our world turning are the people I feel need to get the light shined upon. These are the folks that aren’t scared to think outside the box or dare to be different, they create with no boundaries or guidelines just with there hearts and visions to show them the way. So in that essence was the birth of TTS (The Tastemakers Society) my take on what a real tastemaker is. So sit back and relax while TTS takes you on a tour of the world through the eyes of the real people and along that trip I will give you many things to learn from, be entertained by, get inspired from and simply just stare at. Now it’s time to see what’s really happening in the world instead of just what Paris Hilton did last night."
Manny is also a very talented screenplay writer in his spare time. Let see what he has to say about work, life, and... grass...!

Samapeap Tarr aka Peap
Peap is an amazing artist... I discovered him though our friends at Sweet Sation. Here is some of his work, and some of his story.... speaks for itself! Make sure to go check out his website for more of his stuff!
"Peap, or Samapeap Tarr is a NZ based artist whose cultural background has influenced him and his emotions to create his signature sinister yet tranquil works of art.
Known primarily for his use of bold black ink on a blank white medium, his art exists in a world where lightness and darkness battle, yet coexist in the same breath to balance each other and contrast against each other.
It represents the ups and downs of life, the yin and the yang, the ongoing war that ends up being waged on canvas or whatever medium his work lies on.
Aside from local accolades such as the ArtBeatz (2005) and FunkyRazors (2007) shows, more recently Peap has been receiving international acclaim and attention, including a feature in international Hi-Fructose magazine.
He has also recently returned from exhibiting alongside artists such as MARS1 and Ron English at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles, capturing the attention of other industry greats such as Chaz Bojorquez and MSK. Peap has also appeared in US Art magazine Faesthetic and local NZ art and culture magazine SIDEROOM. "
