Emperial Nation is a young brand that is making a lot of noise. We are at a point in the streetwear culture where it’s been difficult to separate brands. Emperial Nation chooses to take a stand “outside of the box” to look into the uniformity of the streetwear culture. With everything based off a period of history, each shirt is classic and represents a feeling of uniqueness. I’ve learned a lot of things just from T-Shirts, and EN teaches me more. RON ARAD Industrial design Installation at MOMA

Among the most influential designers of our time, Ron Arad (Israeli, b. 1951) stands out for his daredevil curiosity about technology and materials and for the versatile nature of his work. Trained at the Jerusalem Academy of Art and at London's Architectural Association, Arad has produced an outstanding array of innovative objects over the past twenty-five years, from almost unlimited series of objects to carbon fiber armchairs and polyurethane bottle racks. He has also designed memorable spaces, some plastic and tactile, others ethereal and digital. This exhibition will be the first major retrospective of Arad's design work in the United States.

Cool Motorcycle Installation Exhibit in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (September 21, 2009). The dramatic experience of an explosive motorcycle ride will be coming to the 26x3 gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Stop/Action will suspend 12 exotic motorcycles (11 Aprilia RSV 1000Rs and 1 Aprilia RSV4) in a three-dimensional ribbon running throughout the space, reminiscent of stills taken from a high speed film reel.

"The experience of riding a fast motorcycle to the limits of its and your ability defines the soul of a biker. We hope to convey that in a visual, three-dimensional way, allowing the audience to interact with and examine its meaning, motivation and ramification," says Sam Strauss-Malcolm who, along with Tyler Poniatowski, is one of two artists behind the installation.

Stop/Action will be open to the public 2-7pm every day from October 2-11, 2009
